History
So you may be wondering - What is the point of this site? How did it get started? WHY does it exist? Well, it all started with a trip to California.
I was sent out to the west coast for a few weeks to work at a customer site. After a while, I started getting a little homesick. When I'm far away from home (North Carolina), I like to try and find the little things that remind me of where I'm from. Having a glass of sweet tea, a plate of BBQ, or some Cheerwine® helps make the trip that much easier to handle for me. Sweet tea and BBQ were not too hard to find. Cheerwine®, however, seemed elusive.
I searched some stores at first, hoping that one just might have it or could point me in the right direction for it. But it was in vain. So, I resorted to searching online to find my drink. What I found was a jumbled pile of message boards, advertisements, and incorrect results.
Eventually I did find it at a BevMo near where I was at. However, it took an extra amount of effort to find it. Why couldn't there be a site that listed where I could find Cheerwine®? That's when I had the idea - why don't I create that site? The result is this site.
How it Works
This site works on the idea that there are other people besides me who could not find Cheerwine®. Since it would be impossible for me to find and add every location imaginable, I've made it possible for everyone to help out. If you find a location that sells, serves, or gives Cheerwine® away for free, add it to this site! It can be a gas station, grocery store, restaurant, or even some guy's house. If you can obtain Cheerwine® from the place, feel free to add it!
It's Just a Drink. Why Go to All This Trouble?
We all have that one thing that reminds us of home. This is my one thing and I wanted to share it with others. If Cheerwine® becomes popular, even better! It means it will be that much easier for you and me to find :)
